Chapter 11 Summary - The Miracle
The next morning is a foggy one, and when Lurvy brings Wilbur his morning slop, he is shocked to see written in the spider web across the barn doorway the words: "Some Pig!" After a short prayer, he rushes to get Mr. Zuckerman. He, too, can hardly believe what he sees.
Mr. Zuckerman quickly breaks the news to his wife, Edith, that they have experienced a miracle. He explains what has happened, and she tells him that maybe it is the spider, not the pig, that is special. He dismisses this idea, saying it's nothing but a common gray spider.
Wilbur is happy to receive so much attention, and Charlotte is thrilled that her trick has fooled everyone. A small fly lands in her web, and she quickly carries it away before it can ruin her writing. As the fog lifts, Lurvy and Mr. Zuckerman discuss how they have always...
