Odrade knows there is a Bene Gesserit conscience; when Odrade asks who and what am I, Other Memories interfere. Odrade sees how close she is to losing her humanity. There are things a Reverend Mother will not do to save the Sisterhood. Odrade has not sought power; it is thrust on her. All who seek power are corruptible. Everything has a political element and the "separation of church and state" is a lie. The whole universe is searching for answers and mentats only find more questions.
