Summary

In “Days Past: Cirenworth Hall, 1898” recounts Cordelia’s sadness at having her brother return home on holiday from school for the first time only to find he had changed. He avoided her, was cold and distant, and finally admitted to her that the school was full of bullies and the bullied, and that he had chosen to be the former to avoid the suffering involved in the latter.
