Chapters 7 - 11 Summary

Chapter 7: Timothy gets into the water to kick them to shore. Timothy tells Phillip when his feet touch the bottom, and moments later Phillip feels the raft being grounded on the sand. One at a time, Timothy carries Phillip then Stew Cat to land, and then hauls the raft further onto shore so they do not lose it. Timothy calls out that there are fish and langosta here; langosta are a native lobster, lacking claws but with a tail. Timothy plops Stew Cat in Phillip's lap and asks the boy to wait while he tours the island and finds a place to make camp. Timothy promises to build a signal fire before nightfall so they can summon any passing airplanes. Phillip asks their location; when Timothy says he is not.....
