Present: Elaine walks downtown and remembers the conversation she has with her husband Ben before coming to Toronto. Elaine doesn't want to go to her art retrospective. Ben tells her not to go, but she feels that she has to because of all the trouble that the people have gone through to work on this event. When Elaine arrives at the gallery she immediately dislikes the environment. Her paintings are being uncrated after being sent from their owners.
