Point of View

The book is written in the third person point of view with the narrator being the author. It is the author telling the story. There is plenty of dialogue throughout the book. In fact, most of the book consists of dialogue between the different characters. There are times when the author fills in with background information about the setting or the facts.

A first person point of view would exclude the reader from much of the action of the novel. The knowledge of the reader would be confined to the events that took place in the presence of the storyteller. This problem is avoided by the use of the third person.
