Book 4, Chapters 21-25 Summary

Father Murphy goes to talk to the cardinal while Maureen and Baxter continue to have their own discussion. As they are talking, Maureen jumps up and starts to make a break for it. Farrell and Leary both fire at her and miss. She is yanked back into the pew by Baxter. Megan walks up and draws a gun and aims it at Maureen. Both the Cardinal and Father Murphy come running while Baxter blocks Maureen with his body.

Murphy grabs Megan and throws her to the floor and she aims the gun at the priest. Flynn runs over shouting no at Megan. Hickey leads Megan away. Flynn tells them that if one of them escapes, one of the others dies. Pedar tells Flynn to watch out for Megan and Flynn says they all have to watch out for Megan...
