Frank Abagnale, Jr.
Frank W. Abagnale is not only one of the most notorious white-collar criminals in history, but he takes pride in that fact as well. He gleefully reports that a former Chief of Police from Houston, Texas once said, "Frank Abagnale could write a check on toilet paper, drawn on the Confederate States Treasury, sign it 'U.R. Hooked' and cash it at any bank in town, using a Hong Kong driver's license for identification" (Chap. 6, p. 116). Frank considers such statements to be compliments and takes obvious pleasure in his success as a con man. For this reason, it is difficult to believe that Frank has reformed, despite his lengthy track record as an honest citizen.
