Part 3, Chapter 13, Crticial Pressure Summary

Saturday morning, Sara and Travis bring Kate to the Salt City Diner. Mitch is waiting for them. They have breakfast. Their waitress is Teri. Teri harasses Kate, and Mitch defends Kate earnestly. Teri throws her apron over her head, goes into the back, comes to the table, gives Kate back her watch and necklace, and leaves.

Kate goes to Teri's house and finds her in Mikey's room. She apologizes on behalf of Mitch. Kate also explains that she wants to help Teri put the house back together and will take a year off before college to do so. Teri consents.
