Alex Cross

Alex Cross is a detective with the Washington D.C. police department. Cross has investigated a great number of crimes in his career. Cross is also a psychologist. During a recent case, Cross interviewed the kidnapper Gary Soneji, trying to establish if Soneji was a criminal mastermind or suffering multiple personality. When the case ended, Soneji attempted to kill Cross. Now Soneji is still focused on Cross and wants to kill him. However, Soneji wants to leave a legacy for himself before he finishes Cross.

Cross spends a great deal of time trying to track down Soneji through the clues Soneji leaves him at his crime scenes. Soneji makes many threats against Cross, promising to kill him and his family.
