Part Five: Cat and Mouse, Chapters 102-111 Summary

Cross is the main speaker at a meeting of FBI agents. Cross announces that he and Craig believe that Pierce is Mr. Smith. Cross quickly outlines how he believes Isabella Calais was really murdered. Cross believes Isabella was murdered by Pierce because she was having an affair with another doctor. Cross also believes that Pierce has left clues all along, they simply have not been able to see them. Now that they know Mr. Smith is Pierce, he hopes they will be able to see the clues.
