Part Four: Thomas Pierce, Chapters 88-94 Summary

Christine Johnson has returned to work in order to keep her mind occupied. Christine is not sure she can handle the normality of it all knowing that Cross is in the hospital fighting for his life. To make things worse, when Christine returns to her office after talking to one of the teachers she finds Kyle Craig waiting for her. That same night, in a hotel room in New Jersey, Mr. Smith gets an e-mail from Mr. Smith announcing the kidnapping of the doctor in Paris. Pierce forwards this message to the FBI and then packs to go to Paris. Sampson runs into him in the parking lot and is angry to see Pierce is leaving. Sampson believes Cross's case should be a priority over the Mr. Smith case, but Pierce does not...
