Part One: Train Station Murders, Chapters 13-19 Summary

Soneji sits on a train and watches as the police search the passengers. Soneji calmly talks to the woman across the aisle from him, telling her honestly that he is headed to Wilmington. Wilmington is where Soneji lived before his arrest for kidnapping and where his ex-wife still lives. Soneji can see Cross walking on the platform, looking in the windows of his train. Soneji and Cross even met eyes, staring at each other through the milky pane. However, Cross does not recognize him. Soneji is in disguise and suddenly feeling unstoppable.

Cross stays at Union Station until late that night. Kyle Craig from the FBI calls. Craig is running the Mr. Smith case and wants Cross to come onto the case with him. However, with Soneji on the loose again...
