Summary

The point of view in Chapter 3 changes from that of a third person narrator to the first person point of view of Cyra. Cyra was six seasons old when she went on her first sojourn even though children did not generally go on these trips until they were eight. She describes how the ship onto which they boarded would follow the currentstream to the part where it turned the darkest blue and then they would scavenge from that planet.
