Bruce Cable

Bruce Cable is the owner of Bay Books on Camino Island and one of the central characters of the novel. Because Nelson lists Bruce as his emergency contact, Bruce is called to identify Nelson’s body when Nelson is found dead on the day of the hurricane. Once Bruce hears Nick’s evidence that Nelson was murdered, Bruce agrees that Nick’s death was not accidental. He gets frustrated with the police who do not seem to be interested in investigating the death as a murder.

Bruce’s role in Camino Winds is interesting because he was the antagonist in the first novel in this series.
