Chapter 15, "Fol de Rol-lol" Summary

On Saturday afternoon, a parade of children enters the Woodlawns' barn for the scalp belt peep show. Tom and Caddie collect admission at the door while Warren and Hetty seat the guests. In the front is a box with a calico curtain. A sign on a piece of board states, "Favorite scalps of Bloody Tomahawk." Tom, as the emcee, directs Hetty and Warren to open the curtain. Caddie lights a candle. The children press forward to peer at the three tails of hair on the belt as Tom spins a wild tale about Bloody Tomahawk.

Suddenly a voice booms from the back. Robert Ireton stands at the door, his face angry. Caddie tells him they're only putting on a show, and they mean no harm. She begs Robert to get his banjo and sing songs...
