Chapters 11-15 Summary

In chapter 11, Anita drives to The Circus of the Damned and prepares to get more weapons. She sees Asher in the mirror of the car and comments on his amazing beauty. Asher gets angry, showing the scars on his face more closely. When Anita does not react in fear he unbuttons his shirt to show her the rest of the damage. Anita is afraid of Asher's rage but not his scars. Asher flies away in anger; he does not want pity.

In chapter 12, another vampire named Liv arrives. Liv had been invited to the territory by Jean Claude to be part of his group. Anita draws her gun on Liv who tells Anita that her new master will not let her be killed. Anita and Jean Claude both notice her reference to a new master.
