Summary

Since the party, Samantha has not seen Ava. She returns to the pond on Warren's campus where they first met, but Ava is not there. Ordinarily there is a swan in the pond, but today, when Samantha visits, the swan is missing, and there are dozens of bunnies on the lawn. She continues to see bunnies around campus, and one day Jonah sees her talking to one. He asks her if she would like to go for a drink, and she declines. She witnesses a bunny get hit by a car, and another one speaks to her, addressing her by name.
