Chapter 52 Summary

At the school, the ice creature is slowly breaking his way in, but Brother Knuckles leans against his bat unafraid. Brother Maxwell admits to being afraid, but Knuckles tells him that he has nothing to fear. In his room, Jacob continues his embroidery, unafraid and seemingly unaffected.

The atmosphere in the Mew is disturbing. Rodion asks Brother John how he gets rid of his creations, because unlike real life, they do not decompose or decay, and Brother John tells them that he just thinks them away. Rodion tells him to get rid of the abomination, and with some reluctance, he does.

Rodion asks Brother John if he is aware of the other abominations he has created, and though it is clear that Brother John is unsure. Some other part of John, the Other John, made these, and the Other John was nothing more...
