April Summary

Sunday 2 April: Bridget read an article about the late Kathleen Tynan and her poise. Bridget deduces that Kathleen would not let Daniel sleep with her without being her boyfriend, nor would she get drunk and chain smoke. Bridget begins repeating to herself the phrase "inner poise." It must have been working, she thinks, because she wasn't drinking much and had not smoked for six days. She had not slept with Daniel, nor flirted or emailed with him. Bridget's father then called her to turn on her television. Bridget's mom was on tv, promoting her new show. She had obviously not told Bridget's father about her new career. He was saddened and disappointed.
