March Summary

Saturday 4 March: Weight is 126, and Bridget sees dieting as pointless if she just ends up weighing the same at the beginning of each month. Her mother unexpectedly drops by her flat. She is meeting a tax man for lunch and needs to freshen up. It occurs to Bridget that her mother has discovered power. She has power over Bridget's father and Julio, and now the tax man wants to be near her. Bridget is depressed that although she has seen Daniel at work all week, he offers no indication of what is going on with their relationship. When the weekend drew near, Bridget refused to make plans with her friends, just in case Daniel asked her out. He didn't. She calls her friends back and plans a night out with them.
