February Summary

Wednesday 1 February: Bridget recalls her weekend spent worrying about the end-of-date-disaster with Daniel. She also went to her parents for lunch, where her father asked her if she's noticed anything wrong with her mother. She hadn't. Daniel has been out of the office in New York. That night Bridget attended dinner with friends that she calls the "Smug Marrieds," along with a whole room full of other "Smug Marrieds." For Bridget the dinner consisted of good wine and energy spent defending her single status. By the end of the evening, she was drunk and a good deal upset.
