This chapter occurs in October of 2001. In a letter, Hasina tells her sister that she is restless. It's good being with Lovely, but she is yearning for her own place. She then goes on to confess a secret. She says she saw Amma dressed in her fine Dhaka sari on the day she committed suicide.
