Chapter 4 Summary

Jenna and Yoshiko get out of the water fast. The guys at the rental stand retrieve the body in their boat. The shady looking guy that Jenna had noticed seems to have disappeared. Jenna and Yoshiko try to comfort the old man's grieving widow. Jenna tells the rental guys to get a tarp to cover the old man until the police get there. Jenna takes the tarp and starts to cover the man. His chest was blown open and some of his organs are starting to seep onto the floor of the boat. Jenna notices a small black thing in his chest cavity, like a small bent finger. She also notices a cobweb-like material all around his chest. The police finally arrive and question everyone.
