Susannah Cahalan was a vibrant twenty-four-year old young woman who lived in New York City and worked as a reporter for the New York Post when she was afflicted with a rare condition known as anti-NMDAS-receptor encephalitis. It was condition that sparked her own antibodies to attack the receptors of her brain.
