Summary

The chapter “Dealing with the Club Kids” describes the first meeting that Paul runs, in anticipation of the upcoming dowager dance. Infinite Darlene is present at the meeting, and as it runs, she frequently argues with Trilby Pope, her friend-turned-rival from the field hockey team. Paul must lead many of the “club kids,” who join as many clubs as possible in high school in order to look good on college applications. Kyle is also at the meeting. The committee decides that the dance will be death-themed, in honor of the dowager. After the meeting, Kyle compliments Paul on how he conducted business.
