Chapters 5 and 6 Summary

Ev is in the attic with Thalia, Eleni's 18-year-old daughter. Thalia is fitting Ev for her bridesmaids' dress for the wedding. It is bright orange, toga-style and topped off with a ring of flowers on Ev's head. This is when Thalia reveals to Ev that she and Phoebe, Eleni's six-year-old daughter, are flower girls. Ev protests because she is 13 and too old to be a flower girl. Ev tries to complain to Mackey about this later, but he doesn't seem to understand. Then, Ev lies in the peach bathtub fully clothed and talks to Stella, the name she made up for her mother.
