Summary

Weeks pass with no further threat from the Magician. Wick appears in Rachel's room in the middle of the night and asks her if she loves him, and if she loves Borne. He leaves, and she has trouble falling back asleep, so she goes to find him near the swimming pool. She discovers him talking to a doppelganger version of herself, which is Borne in disguise. Wick, Rachel, and Borne argue. She realizes Borne has been disguising himself as both of them for a long time. Borne begs for forgiveness, but Rachel tells him he must leave the Balcony Cliffs.
