Chapters 16-20 Summary

Chapter 16. After his visit with his father, Adam goads Garrett and Garrett accidentally causes the table to tip and spill food on everyone on Adam's side of the table. However, by the time Joe and the other chaperons appear, Garrett has gained control of his emotions. Over the next few days little changes except the faces in the 'family'. A new boy, Miles comes and is made an object of abuse for Adam and his group for a short time before joining them. Paul and Sarah continue to push Garrett to join their escape even though their window of opportunity has passed and they must wait another month.
