Chapter 3 Summary

Alex and Ryan go back to Torey's basement with him to await the rest of their band so they can get in some practice time. Ryan and Alex joke about Chris Creed while they eat some sandwiches that Torey's father bought for them. Ryan suggests that Creed drowned himself in the woods and that they will find his body in a few weeks. Alex says that Creed hung himself in the woods and that no one bothered to look up during the search.

Torey remembers a time when he hit Chris Creed in sixth grade and asks the others if they ever hit him. Ryan says he did a lot of times, especially once in the fourth grade when Chris Creed kept sucking his thumb. Alex remembers hitting him in second grade for making.....
