Chapter 31-36 Summary

In chapter 31, Anita, Richard and Shang-da go to the woods to see the trolls. The werewolves hear a woman crying and Richard runs ahead. Anita follows and realizes that she can run like Richard, like a wolf. Anita is shocked. They come upon Dr. Carrie Onslow, the woman Richard has been dating that had been studying the trolls. A body has been found mutilated and the trolls are being blamed. Anita is surprised that the state police are there and want her to see the body. They know she is in the area. Anita tells Richard to wait with Carrie, needing time alone. The changes in her since their lovemaking are upsetting her and she needs to think.
