Chapter 1-6 Summary

As chapter one begins Harry Dresden is running through a building with monkey demons chasing him. Harry is carrying a box full of puppies. Inside the box, one of the puppies is growling and barking at the large demons. Harry is dodging the flaming monkey poop that the demons are throwing and narrowly makes it out of the building. Once outside Harry sees that the monkey demons are all compiling themselves together into one large demon. Harry yells for Thomas to start the car. The giant monkey demon is gaining on the little blue beetle, but Harry is able to level his staff at the demon and shoot it in the head. Once the demon is dead, it turns into ectoplasm goop. Harry explains to Thomas that the creatures were Chinese spirit creatures that can shapeshift. Thomas is upset that Harry...
