Chapters 6-11 Summary

In Chapter 6, while sleeping in the farm house, Rose wakes when she is filled with nausea, an early warning system given to her through her shadow kissed state, warning her that Strigoi are nearby. Rose goes out to the barn and is attacked by a female Strigoi while a male Strigoi watches nearby. Rose is overwhelmed and filled with fear, causing her to lower her guard against dead spirits that often surround her. These spirits begin to attack the Strigoi, distracting them long enough for Rose to kill them both. When Sydney comes rushing out, Rose passes out in her arms. When Rose wakes, she is in Baia in the home of Olena Belikova.
