Chapters 10-12 Summary

Vivian and Aiden are going to the July 4th firework display at the school. They decide to leave Aiden's car at Vivian's house and walk there. The night is beautiful and Vivian decides she wants to run. Aiden finds it hard to keep up. They reach the school and meet up with Aiden's group of friends. Aiden goes to the bathroom before the fireworks begin. Vivian relaxes and joins in the conversation, but after a while she realizes that Aiden has been gone for a long time. Then she hears a group of boys howling.

Suddenly she is very worried, and goes to search for Aiden. She goes into the woods behind the portable toilets and finds Rafe with a large sack over his shoulder. She fears the worst and insists that Rafe tell her what's in the sack. After teasing...
