Chapters 3 - 4 Summary

In Chapter 3, Samantha "Sam" Sharpe decides to take advantage of the fact that Anna recently broke up with Adam Flood. She invites him to Table 8, a trendy new restaurant that features only 8 appetizers and 8 main courses. She thinks about how only a few days earlier, she thought she had wanted to be with Anna. When Adam arrives, they order one of everything on the menu and Sam tells him that Anna is now with Ben Birnbaum. Adam is visibly upset because when Anna broke up with him, she told him that she wanted time to be alone. Sam decides it is not the time to try to woo Adam but instead invites him to a party on the set of "Hermosa Beach" that weekend.
