Maxine Tarnow is a fraud investigator and divorced mother of two. While her age is not given, it is believed she is somewhere in her mid-to-late thirties. Maxine is raising her two sons, Otis and Ziggy, without any real financial help from her ex-husband, Horst. Maxine owns and operates her own fraud investigation agency, and agrees to look into the activities of hashslingrz at the request of old friend Reg Despard.
