Summary

In the Necropolis, T'Challa and Eden stand before a sacred wall with many names scrawled on it. Shuri, through captions, narrates their actions. She tells the reader, "King T'Challa has summoned the legions" (1). The names on the wall begin to glow and suddenly many figures materialize in front of them. The specter-like figures are drawn with their backs to the reader, leaving their identities a mystery.

At the gates to The Golden City, Shuri, T'Challa, and Eden battle the first wave of Tetu and Zenzi's soldiers as they attempt to take control of Wakanda's capital. In the heat of the intense battle, Shuri transforms her skin to unbreakable stone. This ability came from her time in The Djalia. Like her ability to turn into a flock of birds, this power comes from a story of Wakanda's history. Tetu and Zenzi look onto the battle...
