The Trailer Park

The trailer park is where all of the characters in the story reside. The metallic structure of the trailers renders them unbearable when the summer heat is at its peak. Typically, the trailer park is enshrouded by silence, because most of the residents commute to a nearby town for work. The only people who remain in the trailer park for the entire day spend their time swimming, fishing, gardening, or doing other mundane chores.

The Lake

The lake surrounds the trailer park. It is the setting upon which the two protagonists experience their storyline. In some areas, there are ancient, broken-down lattices submerged underwater. In others, the water is shallow and rocky, which is dangerous for anybody on a boat nearby. The variety in the lake environment reflects the tumultuous nature of the black man and the blonde woman’s relationship.
