Summary

In Chapter 19, Leela sent Daphne a black jersey jumpsuit to wear to Drue’s funeral. Since the police had announced that Drue was poisoned, Daphne had 30,000 new followers on her social media platforms.

Drue’s funeral was held at the Lathrop School. Drue’s brother, Trip, and Daphne were among those to speak. After the funeral, Daphne saw the strange man who had been waiting on Drue’s deck the night of her death. When he spotted her, he ran. Daphne was unable to follow him because she was accosted by McMichaels.

McMichaels told Daphne that Emma had been released as a suspect. He also said that Drue had been poisoned. Someone had put cyanide in something she had eaten or drunk.
