Cross waits at the Hoover Building for the Wolf's Den to get back to him regarding "Potter's" next purchase. Disgusted by these men, Cross wants to bring to justice. During the long hours of waiting, Cross has the chance to speak to Jamilla numerous times, his buddy Sampson, his kids and even Christine. There is a lot on his mind other than this case. Cross tells Jamilla that he will come visit after the case is done.

The Wolf finally makes contact with "Potter," emailing him that a decision had been made regarding his request. Cross doesn't answer right away but tries to remain coy. The FBI have replaced Potter with an agent who looks like him, living at his home and claiming to be sick and unable to.....
