Alex calls Jamilla back to apologize and explain himself, telling her about Christine's reappearance in their lives. Jamilla is supportive and understanding, encouraging him to fight to keep his little boy.

Soon after Alex hangs up with Jamilla, the phone rings again. Ron Burns is on the line and acknowledges Cross's frustration with the slowness of the White Girl Case. Then, he tells him they had grabbed a suspect in New Hampshire. Cross is frustrated that this is the first time he is hearing of this suspect. Burns asks him to get on a plane to New Hampshire in the morning and to try not to get too frustrated with the Bureau.
