After landing in Atlanta, Cross is brought to the crime scene. The entire parking structure where Elizabeth Connolly was abducted has been closed off for the investigation. According to the case files, this kidnapping fits the profile of others that occurred in Texas, Massachusetts, Florida and Arkansas. All were white, wealthy women and no ransom was ever demanded. Luckily, two kids had seen Mrs. Connolly's kidnapping and kidnappers-a man and a woman. Cross finds it strange that she was taken by two people.
