Summary

In Chapter 13, Jam enjoys Thanksgiving dinner with Griffin’s family. She and Griffin go to see the baby goat but Griffin remains aloof and pretends not to be interested. Jam and Griffin go cross country skiing the day after Thanksgiving. While they play a card game Jam admits to Griffin that his father told him about the fire in the barn. Griffin asks if his dad told her that it was his friend, Alby, who had tossed the butt that started the fire. Griffin admits the fire was terrible but says that because there is nothing he can do about it, he tries not to think about the fire or the dead goats. He asks her about Reeve.
