Chapter 25 Summary

Paul D is still sitting on the sidewalk in front of the church. Stamp Paid arrives. Paul D tells him that he does not want to see any more newspaper clippings. Instead, Stamp sits down and apologizes. Stamp tells Paul D that he can move into any house in Cincinnati with any black family and they will be happy to take him.

Paul D tells Stamp that the minister of the church offered to give him a place to stay, but he refused. He tells Stamp that he has plans, but Stamp does not think that drinking is any way to plan.

A man comes by on a horse looking for a woman named Judy, who lives on Plank Rd. Stamp says that he does not know her, but he gives the man directions to Plank Rd. The man begins to ride off, but sees Paul D...
