Summary

Chapter 15

Stamp took two buckets to the river side and returned hours later with snagged clothes, scratches and two buckets full of blackberries for Baby Suggs to make pies. The plan was to make two pies but the berries were enough for many more. Neighbors were invited for pie and chicken and fish turning the evening into a banquet for all 90 people who came to eat.

Baby Suggs got a sense the next morning; people were upset that Baby Suggs was always the focus. They thought she always knew what was needed, had the answers, and helped the sick. Most of all; she loves. Baby Suggs smelled a worse odor bringing a bad feeling.
