Point of View

The novel is written in the first person point of view. In this novel, the authors have chosen two main characters as their narrators. The first is Ethan, the narrator of the previous novels. Ethan died in the previous novel, therefore he finds himself in the Otherworld in this novel. Ethan learns there is a way that he might be able to reverse his death, but he needs Lena’s help. Lena is the other narrator, taking over in sections of the novel where Ethan has little or no knowledge of her actions.

The point of view of this novel creates an intimate relationship between the reader and the main characters. The reader really cares what happens to these characters because they have shared everything from emotions to thoughts with them.
