Chapter 6. Silver Button. Ethan opens his eyes and finds himself at Ravenwood. However, Lena is not there. Ethan goes to Greenbriar to search for her and finds himself standing at his own grave. On the cross over the grave is a silver button that Ethan recognizes as belonging to Lena. He pushes it, causing it to fall to the ground. A woman speaks to him. Ethan recognizes her as Genevieve Duchannes, Lena’s ancestor who began the curse of her family. They speak for a minute, but are disturbed when Lena and Link come charging through the woods.
