The entries in this section of the book take place during the Fall of 1965.

Jim has returned to school, but we quickly learn that he has not stopped his drug habit. He has learned from a senior in his school that the "best" girls go to The Professional Children's School and so, in an effort to meet some of them, he has been hanging out at a local sandwich shop. He takes note of how dedicates each of the students are to their particular art; dance, drama or modeling. The girls frequently ask Jim what he is studying and while he once was a child model for Johnson & Johnson baby products, he does not let them know this.
