The Christians begin facing persecution and many rush to tell on their neighbors and friends. Among them is the blind man who sleeps at the Dung Gate near the hare-lipped girl. He says that she's spreading the story that the current world is to be destroyed and another formed. He says that she's saying that the sick will be healed, even the lepers, and that it's surely heresy to spread such tales. He says that the girl doesn't claim to be able to perform these miracles herself, but that her Lord - the Son of God - can do anything. The blind man says that there are many who listen to her stories. Outside, there's a youth who is waiting for the man and they return "home" to the Dung Gate.....
