Summary

Sadie traveled on her own to Michael’s apartment at the start of Chapter 14. She was not entirely confident with her decision to propose to him, but she did and ran from the apartment with embarrassment immediately after. Michael, stricken with grief, put effort into starting the next day and he took to the street for a walk. He admitted that his medical bag was empty and that he did not have patients, so he miserably walked back and forth through the city, bought a meal, and sweat through his collar. He considered the fact that if he married Sadie, he would be close to his brother all the time. Shortly after, he twisted his ankle.
